AI is powerful but energy intensive. This session explores practical ways to shrink the environmental footprint of AI and modern software through carbon-aware architectures, efficient training and deployment, data minimisation, model right-sizing, and green DevOps.

We will also discuss how AI can drive climate solutions, optimising renewables, improving carbon tracking, and supporting climate-resilient systems, highlighting AI’s dual role in both impacting and helping protect the planet.
