How difficult is the yoga session going to be?

The poses are suitable for children. This activity is meant for children aged between 7-12, and their parent/guardian.

Will we just be doing yoga?

We will be learning about Singapore’s natural coastlines and the marine life that live in them through yoga poses inspired by animals such as sea stars, hermit crabs, turtles and so on. The poses will be woven together in a story.

Question 3

What other educational benefits will me or my child/children receive during this event?

Accepted Answer

After the session, participants can ask questions about what they’ve learnt to a marine biologist from NUS, who will be at the event.

Will mats be provided?

Yes, mats will be provided. Participants will not be able to keep the mats.

Do I have to pay to attend?

It will cost $2 to reserve one mat.

Can my child attend alone?

Accepted Answer

No, all children must be supervised by an adult. Adults can choose to take part in the yoga session and pay for a separate mat, or watch over their child/ward from the sidelines.

Can adults participate alone?

Yes, we welcome you to attend alone too. Bear in mind that the poses will be simple and developed for children.

What should I wear?

Come in comfortable and appropriate attire for stretching, such as tights or leggings. No socks are needed.

Can I show up without registering?

No, participants must register and sign a liability form via Eventbrite to take part in the event. It costs $2 to reserve one mat.

Can I cancel my registration and get a refund?

Can we sign up as a group of 3?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as participating children are supervised by an adult. People can sign up in groups of four at the maximum.

This is a token sum collected to defray the costs of the event.

Will there be food and beverages served?

No, but there is a water dispenser in the CC. We encourage participants to bring your own water bottles.
