Nusa Swara

Inspired by their collaborative teaching of YST's World Music Ensemble course, "Nusa Swara" (Island Voices) is presented by Syafiqah 'Adha and Rosemainy Buang and explores the creation of new music by harnessing sounds of the Nusantara/Malay world with technology. Through their collaboration, Syafiqah and Rose will uncover novel musical expressions from the convergence and collision of traditional and contemporary elements from each of their own musical background and expertise. Their music will also explore themes of customs and rituals, home, identity and womanhood.

Patrons without valid tickets will not be allowed entry. Out of respect for all patrons, late admission will only be allowed at suitable intervals. No children under 6 years of age will be allowed admission. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the venue.

No refunds, exchanges, or cancellations will be accepted for inability to attend, change of plans, or failure to show up on the day of the event/session.
