This is a group founded by Jason Hau and Jeremy Ting.
We've both been messing around in the local film scene for over 10 years, hitting up all sorts of events and competitions. We totally love making films!
After a while, we started feeling a bit... unsatisfied. A lot of events felt too serious, too much pressure, or just not really about the fun of creating with cool people.
So, we had an idea. Why not just make our own thing? A space where you don't have to be a pro, you don't have to overthink, and you definitely don't have to spend a ton of cash.
That's how The Film Group Singapore was born! We wanted to strip it back to the good stuff, focusing on three super simple things:
Make Friends - Meet awesome people who are into the same creative vibe.
Make Films - Just grab a camera (even your phone!) and shoot something cool, fast, run-and-gun style. No fuss!
Watch Films - Share what everyone made, chill out, and enjoy the show together.
Basically, we built the club we always wish existed. It's all about keeping it easy, getting creative, and having a blast with your new film crew.
