Terms & Conditions


These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the “Offline 16: Pickleball Challenge” event ("Event"), organised by VitaHealth Asia Pacific (S) Pte Ltd (collectively referred to as the “Organiser”).

By registering for and participating in the Event, each participant ("Participant") acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Rules and Regulations.


Event Details

  • Event Name: Offline 16: Pickleball Challenge
  • Date: 26 July 2025, 6pm-10pm
  • Venue: Pickleball Performance (11 Northshore Drive #01-23, Singapore 828670)
  • Participation Fee: $20 per person (yuu member); $30 per person (non yuu member)

The Organiser reserve the right to change the date, venue, format, or cancel the event without prior notice for any reason including but not limited to force majeure.


Eligibility

  • Open to individuals aged 18 years and above, novice players who already know how to play pickleball. No coaching, no rule briefings provided. Self-officiated matches only; Participant must know standard pickleball rules and rally scoring.
  • The Organiser reserve the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any Participant(s) who does not meet the criteria.


Registration

  • Registration must be completed via the official Eventbrite site.
  • Registration Deadline: 20 July 2025 or until all slots are filled.
  • Participants must provide accurate, complete information. The Organiser may revoke or refuse participation due to incorrect or misleading details.
  • No changes or transfers of registration are allowed once confirmed.
  • Registration is confirmed upon receipt of a confirmation email. For assistance, contact Eventbrite within 5 working days of registration if you do not receive confirmation.


Event Kit

  • Each Participants will receive an Event Kit comprising:
    - 1 x Event Jersey (size subject to availability)
    - 1 x Tote Bag
    - 1 x Phone Pouch
    - 1 x Goodies worth over $120
  • Kit Collection: On event day, 26 July 2025 at 5:30pm onwards at the event venue.
  • Kits not collected on the day will be considered forfeited.
  • Jersey sizes are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Actual merchandise may vary from images provided.


Event Participation Requirements

  • Participants must present a valid e-ticket for entry.
  • Participants must remain offline from 6pm – 10pm by:
    - Turning off data/WiFi;
    - Sealing all phones/digital devices in provided pouches;
    - Staying on-site for the full 4-hour offline duration.
  • In the event of emergencies, Organiser may unseal the phone pouch. Doing so will result in disqualification from the Event and the Participants will not be entitled to finisher kit.
  • Participants are responsible for their own belongings.


Health & Safety

  • Participation is voluntary and at the Participant’s own risk.
  • Organiser will not be liable for any injuries, death, loss, or damage to property arising before, during, or after the Event.
  • Participants are advised to undergo a medical check-up before the Event.
  • By participating, Participants affirm that they are in good physical condition and fit for physical activity.


Use of Personal Data (PDPA)

By registering, Participants consent to:

  • Collection and use of personal data for Event-related communication and marketing.
  • Contact via email, SMS, WhatsApp, or calls.
  • Use of data for statistical and analytical purposes.
  • Transfer of data to third parties for Event operations (e.g., kit production, communication).
  • Withdrawal of consent must be submitted via email to enquiry@vitahealth.com.sg prior to the Event date.

Organiser will take reasonable steps to ensure data security.


Event Changes, Cancellation & Force Majeure

  • The Organiser may reschedule, postpone, or cancel the Event without refund due to unforeseen circumstances or force majeure (e.g., weather, pandemics, safety issues).
  • In such cases, the Organiser will make efforts to notify Participants via official channels.


Refund Policy

  • Once registered, no refunds will be provided under any circumstances.
  • If a participant is unable to attend the event, they may transfer their ticket to another person, provided they inform the Organiser no later than 20 July 2025.
  • All transfer requests must be submitted in writing to enquiry@vitahealth.com.sg.


Disqualification

Organiser reserve the right to:

  • Refuse or revoke participation without explanation.
  • Disqualify any individual suspected of breaching the Rules and Regulations or engaging in misconduct.
  • Interpret these Rules at their discretion. All decisions by the Organiser are final.


Promotions and Publicity

  • Participant(s) agree to receive promotional materials from the Organiser.
  • The Organiser may use photos, videos, and other materials from the Event for marketing and promotional purposes without additional consent or compensation.



Pickleball Match Rules & Regulations


Match Format

  • All matches will follow doubles format.
  • This is a fun, friendly challenge with just one open category — feel free to build a team as men's, women's, or mixed doubles.
  • Please report match results promptly to the scorekeeper.

    Round Robin Rounds
  • 16 pairs will be split into 4 pools.
  • Each pool plays a round robin, each match being quickfire matches rally to 15 points, or 10 minutes max, whichever comes first.
  • If tied at the 10-minute mark, one sudden-death point will be played to determine the winner (regardless of server).
  • Pool winners will be determined in the following order:
    1. Number of matches won
    2. Point difference
    3. Total points won

    Knockout Rounds
  • The top team from each pool advances to the semi-finals, followed by the finals.
  • Knockout matches are played to 15 points, no time cap. If tied at 14-14, teams must win by 2 points.


Equipment

  • Participants are encouraged to bring their own paddles
  • Entry-level paddles will be available as backup if needed.
  • Proper sports attire and non-marking court shoes are mandatory.
  • No slippers, sandals, black soles, or hard-soled shoes allowed.


Gameplay Rules

  • All matches will be played in accordance with the official USAPA rules.
  • This is a self-officiated event — receivers make the calls.
  • Please ensure all players are familiar with pickleball rules and rally scoring.
  • In the event of a dispute, please approach the Organiser.


Conduct & Sportsmanship

  • All Participant(s) are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and fair play at all times.
  • Any form of cheating, aggressive behavior, or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in immediate disqualification.


Injury and Safety

  • Participant(s) must stop play immediately in the event of an injury and notify the event crew.
  • Participant(s) play at their own risk and are responsible for their own health and safety. The Organiser shall not be liable for any injury or accident sustained during matches.


Match Scheduling & Attendance

  • Match schedules will be announced on the Event Day. It is the responsibility of the Participant(s) to be present at their assigned time slots.
  • Participants arriving more than 5 minutes late for a match will forfeit by walkover.


Prizes and Recognition

  • Prizes will be awarded to winning teams at the end of the Event. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value if necessary.
  • In the event of a tie or unresolved match, the Organiser will determine the winner based on performance, sportsmanship, or a tiebreaker round.

Who can participate in VitaHealth Offline 16: Pickleball Challenge?

Is there any registration fee?

Yes. The registration fee is $20 per person for YUU member, or $30 per person for public. Fee includes access to all activities, an event jersey, refreshments, and a fun-filled experience!

How long do we need to go offline?

The offline hours last for 4 hours, from 6PM - 10PM. During this time, all digital devices must remain sealed in the provided pouch.

What time do I need to arrive at the event?

Registration and event jersey collection starts at 5:30PM.

Where is the event venue and how to get there by public transport?

The event is at Marina Country Club (11 Northshore Drive, Singapore 828670). Take LRT from Punggol Station (NE17/PTC) to Samudera Station (PW4), followed by a short 400m walk to the venue. Alternatively, you can take bus service 384 from Punggol Interchange directly to Marina Country Club.

What should I wear?

Jersey will be provided upon registration! For your safety and comfort, proper sports attire and non-marking court shoes are mandatory. No slippers, sandals, black soles, or hard-soled shoes allowed.

Is there a baggage storage area?

Yes, there is open baggage storage area. However, participants are responsible for their own belongings. We recommend bringing only essential items and keeping them with you at all times.

Can I bring my phone or any other digital gadgets to the event?

You can bring your phone to the event, but it must be kept inside the sealed pouch provided during registration. Smartwatches, tablets, laptops, game consoles, and any other digital gadgets that connect to the internet are not permitted to ensure an offline, distraction-free environment.

Will I still have access to emergency contacts or help?

Yes. Event staff will have phones available for emergency use, and our team is always on-site to assist with any urgent matters.

Can I bring camera?

Yes, you are welcome to bring camera to capture memories.

Do I need to know how to play pickleball?

Yes, this event is open for novice pickleball players who already know how to play. No coaching, no rule briefings provided. Self-officiated matches only; Participant must know standard pickleball rules and rally scoring.

Do I need to bring my own paddles and balls?

Balls provided (Performance Pickleball official balls). Players are recommended to bring their own paddles, but entry-level paddles will be available as backup.
