What constitutes interdisciplinarity? What does it mean to approach knowledge from an interdisciplinary lens? This panel with artist Debbie Ding, Director of NUS Centre for Quantum Technologies Professor José Latorre, and NUS Museum Outreach Coordinator for Module Collaborations Rie Ong aims to unpack and demystify the notion of the “interdisciplinary” in relation to artist practice, academic research, and museology. Here, the discussion anchors itself on the porosity of the university museum space, drawing insights from the NUS Museum’s interests and work across its curatorial and outreach arms, and thereby, opening new lines of inquiry into possible approaches that institutions can take to engage with and shape such connections.
