Join us for an exclusive Open My Factory tour at NSL OilChem Waste Management, Singapore’s leading oil and chemical waste management facility, and uncover the answers to these important questions. Designed as an immersive experience, the tour takes you through the full journey of waste management — from the moment it is collected to how it is treated, recovered, or safely disposed. Explore key operational zones including the Weigh Bridge, Quality Control Lab, Slop Treatment Plant, Ship Dock, Water Discharge Point, and Waste-to-Energy Incinerator. Hear firsthand from the engineers, lab technicians, and operations staff who keep our nation’s industries safe and running. This is your chance to learn how toxic industrial waste becomes opportunity, that contributes to a clean, green and sustainable environment. Who should come?

· Participants must be 13 years old or above to attend this tour. This tour is not suitable for participants with mobility issues.


Duration & Meeting Place


· Approximate Duration: 2.0 hours

· Language: English

· Please meet at Chinese Garden MRT Drop-Off Point – near Exit A Street Level (a bus will ferry participants to and fro the venue)

· The event will start and end at the same point.

· The tour will proceed rain or shine.


What to wear?


· Participants are required to wear long pants, socks and must come in fully covered shoes, sports shoes or sneakers. For your own safety, participants may be denied entry if they are dressed inappropriately.

· When entering the facility, participants are required to wear PPE which will be provided (Helmet, Jacket, and Goggles).

· Participants to indicate their Jacket Size upon registration of event. (S, M, L, XL)


What to bring?


· Bring along a bottle of water and an umbrella.

· Participants are encouraged to bring their own earphones (with a standard 3.5mm audio jack) as radio guides will be used for the tour.

· Asthmatic individuals are encouraged to bring their inhaler.


Other important information


· Participants are required to answer all necessary questions on the registration page for the host to conduct security checks before you are allowed to enter the facilities.

· Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour for registration.

· As NSL OilChem Waste Management is a restricted area, photography is strictly prohibited in the premises.

· Participants should stay with the group at all times, and are not allowed to wander off alone.

· Parking is not available at the facilities. The nearest carpark to Chinese Garden MRT is at 354 Jurong East Ave 1, Singapore 600354. It is a 10 to 15-minute walk to station.

· Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour for registration.

· Event is not wheel-chair friendly.

· No smoking is allowed throughout the tour.

· The tour will proceed rain or shine.

· All proceeds will go to My Community to sustain the costs of running the tours.
