We bet that you might have a bottle or two of Tai Hua soy sauce in your kitchen at this very moment - likely of the light and dark sauce varieties. Indeed, these bottles of umami-goodness are a key staple in most Singaporean households especially in Chinese homes. Peel back the layers of Tai Hua’s history and its road to success with our special tour of the facility.
Who should come?
• Everyone is welcome to participate in this exciting tour!
· Participants below 13 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Duration & Meeting Place
• Approximate Duration: 2.0 hours
• Language: English
• Please meet at Chinese Garden MRT Drop-Off point - near Exit A Street Level (a bus will take participants to and fro the factory)
· The event will start and end at the same point.
• The tour will proceed rain or shine
What to bring?
• Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably and wear covered shoes. Participants are encouraged to wear bright coloured clothes for safety purposes.
• Bring along hand sanitiser, insect repellent, a bottle of water and an umbrella. Please refrain from wearing loose accessories to the tour.
• If you have earphones with a standard 3.5mm audio jack, please bring them along (for radio guides during the tour).
• Participants are reminded to bring cash if they would like to purchase any items from the factory. Please note that the factory does not accept electronic payment methods.
• Asthmatic individuals are encouraged to bring their inhaler.
Other important information
• Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour for registration.
• Event is not wheel-chair friendly.
· Photography is not allowed at the premises.
• Parking is not available at the factory. Kindly park your car near Chinese Garden MRT.
· All proceeds from the tours will go to My Community to sustain the costs of running the tours.
