HELLO WORLD, come join us for the opening of the Pigubao Pop-up! ✨👯‍♀️✨

Pop, pop, pop, POP-UP. Step into the world of PiguBao, a sentient peach on a quest to figure this “life” thing out. This pop-up follows PiguBao on their ongoing adventure and attempts to navigate modern-day life, from wrestling with existentialism to over- caffeination. Featuring a jumble of works – old, new, big, small – including paintings, (alot of!) prints, stickers, a tiny zine, and more.

Whether you are seeking the meaning of life or just a fun time, it's all good, PiguBao listens and doesn't judge.

About Artist

HelloPigu's (Brenda Tan) widely recognizable works feature Pigubao, a sentient longevity peach bun, reflecting the artist's exploration of modern life's complexities through a lens of playful introspection.

Pigubao's world presents a vibrant colour palette, unique intersection of illustrative charm, and fine art sensibilities. The character's disarming cuteness acts as a peep hole into themes of 'adulting and existential questioning, exploring the often humorous, yet deeply relatable, struggles of modern life with profound consideration.

Evolving from digital drawings to a diverse body of work encompassing murals, readymades, installations, and paintings, notable exhibitions include her 2022 solo exhibition, 'Into the Wild' at Art Porters Gallery, the interactive 'Fresh Fortune' installation at Night Festival 2019, and murals at Urban Design Festival 2018 and The Substation 2019.
