About this event

Due to overwhelming responses, this event has reached its maximum number of participants. We do wish to apologise in advance for not being able to reply to all email enquiries.

If you have registered for the event, you would already have received the Zoom Webminar details and other materials in your registered email account (you may wish to check your junk mail folder, just in case).

Once again we would like to thank you for your interest and hope to be able to have you with us in future workshops.

The OpenMMLab Workshop 2021 is the first workshop on OpenMMLab co-organized by MMLab@NTU (affiliated with NTU S-Lab for Advanced Intelligence), NTU School of Computer Science & Engineering, and NTU Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (AI.R).
OpenMMLab is an open-source project that covers a wide range of research topics of computer vision, e.g., classification, detection, segmentation, and super-resolution.
The workshop is opened only to participants from Singapore. This is a 3-day FREE ONLINE event, conducted in English by professors, postdoctoral fellows, and PhD students from MMLab@NTU. There will be both lectures and hands-on activities on the Google Colab platform.
Date: 28 (Mon), 29 (Tue), 30 (Wed) June 2021
Time: 9 am - 12 pm; 2 pm - 5 pm
The workshop has 6 sessions in total (3 days, 2 sessions each day - morning and afternoon). You earn a certificate of participation if you attend 4 (or more) of the 6 sessions.

Objective

  • Understand convolutional networks and generative adversarial networks and how they are essential for different computer vision tasks.
  • Get familiarized with PyTorch and OpenMMLab for developing deep learning applications.
  • Design and train deep learning models for solving different computer vision applications.

Topics

  • Introduction to computer vision and deep learning
  • Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN)
  • Object detection
  • Action recognition
  • Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN)
  • Image and video super-resolution

You are expected to have the following to join this workshop

  • A desktop or laptop computer with internet access
  • A Google account to access Google Colab
  • Basic knowledge on calculus and linear algebra
  • Basic knowledge on Python programming
  • Some understanding or basic concepts on machine learning
