OpenTechSummit Vietnam 2019

OpenTechSummit is a series of technology events focusing on open source solutions taking places in Singapore, Ho Chi Minh, Bangkok, Shenzhen, Hyderabad and Berlin. It brings together developers and user communities to share the latest technologies around AI, Database, Cloud, Open Hardware and more; to exchange ideas and to foster collaboration in the open world.

Program Highlights

• Python Programming for Data Analysis Workshop - from the basics of Python to exploring many different types of data. How to prepare data for analysis, perform simple statistical analysis, create meaningful data visualizations, predict future trends from data, and more.

• STEM, Robotics, Pocket Science Lab and Open Hardware - from introduction to hands-on experiments with real devices. Learn to make your own a robot.

• Git practical workshop: learn Git, create beatiful website with GitHub pages and participate in CodeHeat contest.

• Mobile Technologies - NodeJS, Flutter, Kotlin

• Machine Learning and Open Source AI - with SUSI.AI you can create a chat bot within minutes, further more you make a smart speakers that can play music from online resources such as radio stations, YouTube as well as from locally connected USB sticks or music available in the local network.

• Blockchain - Understand blockchain, the techlonology and applications. What can you actually do with it and how to keep up with the current trend.

• Ignite Talks - A series of short presentations 5 mins each. Each presenter must use 20 slides, which auto-advance every 15 seconds. It is really fun.

• Social Event - Clean Air, Green Saigon. How open source technologies can help to tackle environmental challenges. Spending the evening with like-minded people who want to save our planet. Fun activities are organized by Saigon Compass.
