About Reiki Healer, Yoga Instructor Hwee Hwee

Hwee is a yoga instructor who hurt her wrist, dampening her asana practice and just could not recover it 100% with physiotherapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine. A calling drawn her to Reiki healing and her recovery progressed so much more! Hwee is an advanced Reiki Level 3 practitioner.

With yoga, Hwee fell in love with the low impact workout (which was gentle for her teenage injured lower back). Wanting to know yoga beyond the physical aspects (asanas), she went to one of the oldest yoga school in world, G.S. College of Yoga and Cultural Synthesis, Kaivalydham in Lonavla, Pune, India in 2017 and attained her Hatha Yoga teaching certifications from both Kaivalydham and Quality Council of India (QCI) by Indian Yoga Association. With many injury experiences, she is even more mindful in giving variations and modifications for all body types during asana practice.

Hwee is also into meditation since 2013 and with Hatha Yoga now, the practice between asana (physical exercise) and meditation has integrated into one.

It is said that we don't do meditation, meditation happens to us.

Join Hwee for Reiki healing, asanas and pranayama practice for meditation to happen!

Hwee is also proficient in Chinese and Japanese language. Please also follow her on Instagram and Facebook Namaste With Hwee

I searched for a spiritual meaning in my existence, a deeper meaning in life and an identity on this Earth during my ups and downs of journey in life. I often wondered why did I come down to Earth? Is there more to life than this shell that we live in? The search led me to the practice of breath meditation, Rebirthing Breathwork, Vipassana meditation, Kundalini Yoga and many more. I was happier with these practices, yet something was still missing.

In 2017, I finally mustered enough courage to leave my stable engineering job to search for “myself”, I travelled alone for a year and landed myself in a Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava temple. Through living as Bhakti Yogi’s Brahmacharini (nun) in the temple’s ashram, I finally found myself and understood the true meaning of life and found my own identity. I found my relationship with the creator. I am now a practising Vaiṣṇavi.

Just as I wish someone had taught me techniques for having more grit in life, self-regulation or simply being more aware of my emotions both during childhood and adulthood, I aspire to help people of all ages learn more about themselves and equip everyone with the self-help techniques I have found useful in my own journey. I am also fluent in Chinese & Japanese Language.

Why I do what I do?

Growing up as an injury prone individual and having suffered from multiple injuries, I have experience managing injuries and pain through my own practices. I am an alignment-focused Yoga Instructor and Reiki Healer, equipped and mindful in providing variations and modifications for all body types during asana practices. Looking forward to practice with you all.
