About this event
Up to 13% of people will suffer from social anxiety disorder at some point in their lives. Social anxiety comes from a fear that you might say or do something embarrassing and others might think badly of you.
Without treatment, social anxiety can be persistent and disabling - it stops people from doing things they want to do like meeting new people, building relationships, chatting to colleagues at work, going to university, going for a job interview or going out with friends. There are many forms of anxiety, some of which can disable a person momentarily from functioning normally.
Other forms of anxiety include Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia).
