About this event

Panel discussion hosted by the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and USAID

This panel discussion will particularly examine how agriculture commodity expansion (e.g. oil palm) have affected forest landscapes and biodiversity, and how conservation actions such as government-led essential ecosystem area approaches and the private sector-led initiatives on habitat connectivity and protection have been really effective. The panel will also discuss incentives that are key to effective conservation efforts and how these efforts are contributing to the achievement of key Aichi Biodiversity Target as well as relevant SDGs.
