Trainers' Bio

Elvin and Esther Foong are the founders of The Treasure Box Singapore, a training and resourcing company that aims to help families grow closer to each other and to God. As full-time itinerant ministers, they believe that a parent's first ministry is in the home, and their first disciples are their own kids. Their vision is for a generation of spiritually healthy families to rise up and display Jesus' love to a lost and broken world. Together with other like-minded parents, they also co-founded SGFamilies, a ground-up movement that aims to raise wholesome generations together.

Elvin has a heart to see the next generation grow in biblical literacy and their understanding of who the God of the Bible is. To equip himself to do that, he is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Singapore Bible College.

Esther is passionate about values-inculcation and character development in children and sees great importance in the role of parents in this aspect. She also serves as a part-time lecturer at NIE, supervising trainee teachers for their teaching practicum, and sits on the advisory committee for two local primary schools.

Elvin and Esther have been married for almost 17 years and are proud parents of two wonderful children—Nathan (14) and Phoebe (12).
