Pastel Nagomi Art (PNA) Basic & Associated Instructive Art Course- Jul 2021
Become a Certified Pastel Nagomi Art (PNA) Instructor and start conducting your own PNA workshops.
The Basic of Pastel Nagomi Art (PNA) & Associated Instructive Art Course equips you with the basic understanding of what Pastel Nagomi Art is and teaches you the skills and techniques to create 19-20 beautiful art pieces in 21 to 24 course hours.
Upon completion of the course, you will have to submit 3 PNA paintings and a simple written assignment within a specified time frame. Your artwork and written assignment will be submitted to the Japan Pastel Hope Art Association (JPHAA) for you to be awarded the Diploma in Basic of Pastel Nagomi Art and certified as an Associated Instructor.
Once certified as an Associated Instructor, you may conduct PNA workshops.
What you will learn?
- Background, mission and vision of PNA
- Business development of PNA
- Various painting skills and techniques
- Different themes of PNA which consists of scenery, seasons, emotions, aroma, greeting, hope and spirituality.
- Teaching experience and tips from the trainer.
- Assisting in a workshop
- Facilitating own workshop
Who can attend?
- Anyone who has an interest and passion to learn PNA, with the view to become a PNA instructor or simply to learn and create PNA as a hobby.
- Recommended age is 13 years old and above.
- Anyone with or without art background or experience in PNA.

Lesson 3 (Online) : 16 August 2021, Monday, 9.30am to 12.30pm
Lesson 4 (@ Trivex Building): 23 August 2021, Monday, 9.30am to 12.30pm
Lesson 5 (@ Trivex Building): 30 August 2021, Monday, 9.30am to 12.30pm
Lesson 6 (@ Trivex Building): 13 September 2021, Monday, 9.30am to 12.30pm
Lesson 7 (@ Trivex Building): 20 September 2021, Monday, 9.30am to 12.30pm
(7 sessions, approximately 3 - 3.5 hours per session every week)
Last year, we have successfully completed the hybrid approach to this course where participants get to experience online learning as well as physical face-to-face learning with the instructors and other participants. The online learning exposed participants to the idea of teaching and learning via zoom as well as provide the flexibility for them to learn at the comfort of their own home, while face-to-face session proved to be so fun and interactive and as participants meet up with other instructors during the face-to-face sessions.
** In the event of covid-19 , the physical face-to-face session course might be shifted online via zoom platform. We will inform you closer the dates.
