About this event

Blood cancers refer to cancer that affect your blood cells and are one of the top 10 cancers that affect Singaporeans*. Some of the common types of blood cancers are leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma which can be presented as lumps on the neck or even cause kidney failure.

In this session, our multidisciplinary panel of specialists will discuss the different types of blood cancer, their causes and how to recognise the signs and symptoms of blood cancer. We will also discuss the impact of multiple myeloma on the kidneys and how to counteract kidney failure.

We will also explore the various treatment options for Blood Cancer, from conventional chemotherapy, targeted agent, antibody and immune based therapy to Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell Therapy and how these new therapies change the therapeutic landscape in blood cancers.

The session will also include nutritional tips for patients with Blood Cancer.

If you have any questions about Blood Cancer, or wish to learn how to better care for yourself and your loved ones, this is your chance to interact directly and ask the doctors.
