Learn the intermediate level of pencil sketching skills to express different subjects with confidence and joy.

About this Event

This is an intermediate level for pencil sketching and drawing. A course for participants who has completed beginners class of pencil sketching. Participants will learn how to further advance in this medium and related topics.

What are some expected outcomes of the course?

Explore and learn how to develop keener observation skills with proportion and applying various pencil art skills. The course covers analysis and how to present light and shadow impact in art. You will learn artist approach to handle subjects with confidence.

Who is this for?

This is for participants whom has completed pencil sketching beginners' course and understand basic techniques of using pencils for various subjects.

Time: 1pm - 3pm

How does it work?

Upon successful payment, you shall receive instructions on how to join the online course conducted via Zoom before the date of your first session.

For effective learning, all attendees should participate actively in the online sessions. Your audio & video must be turned on during class. Please contact us for a trial run if it's your first time getting on a Zoom video conference. We would like to ensure you enjoy the best learning experience with us.

Course fee:

$280 | $56 for seniors eligible for National Silver Academy (NSA) subsidy*

*NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above.

**Minimum 10 students to start class

Course fee may be offset by ^SkillsFuture Credit (SFC). First, course participants are to make payment for the course through Brahm Centre Eventbrite page, followed by claim with SFC. Brahm Centre will reimburse the amount that is successfully claim upon receipt of the funds from SFC. More details on SFC will be provided upon registration.

Materials provided: 

1. Pencils Sketching set

(5 different grades of pencils, kneadable eraser, soft erasers, sharpener, ruler)

2. A4 Sketch Book


  • Please note that payments for courses are non-refundable.
  • Do ensure that you are able to attend the first session of the course before registering for the course as you will not be allowed to continue with the course should you miss the first session.
  • Request for transfers or make up-classes for selected mindfulness courses are subjected to availability and fees of $30 for transfers and $10 for make-up are applicable.

Trainer Profile:

Paul Lee Mr Lee Thiam Seng (Paul) is a Singapore-born artist, art therapist, and consultant. He is the founder of UniqArts and Technologies. Mr Lee holds a Master in Arts-Art Therapy with LASALLE College of the Arts, and a Bachelor of Management Degree with Royal Melbourne Institute of Technologies. He is also trained in fine arts at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). Mr Lee is the creator of the virtual art classroom www.onlineartclass.com and author of the children’s book - Drawing is Easy. Mr Lee has facilitated many creative art projects for therapeutic and developmental purposes, both for children and adults. He has experience running individual and group art therapy treatment for children and adults in schools and hospitals. Mr Lee conducted a research at KKH with Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval for his Master’s thesis: "Art Therapy as a Modality of Healing in Stages - For Women with Breast Cancer." Furthermore, Mr. Lee led many UniqArts Creative Therapies and some of the corporate clients include Chevron, Cherie Hearts Kindergarten, Faber Castell, Health Promotion Board, National Library Board, Singapore Police Force, Singapore Prison, Schools, Feiyue, PCF, SBS Transit, NTUC, OAG, Sony, SAP, TOUCH Community, United Square and Unilever.
