He made his orchestral debut at the age of ten with Grieg’s Piano Concerto, later winning both the Naumburg Piano Award and Busoni International Piano Competition.
After studies in New York, London, and Italy, Paik has performed in the world’s leading concert halls — including Carnegie Hall, Berlin Philharmonie, Wigmore Hall, and the BBC Proms — with major orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, London Symphony, and Orchestre de Paris.
A prolific recording artist with Decca and Deutsche Grammophon, his acclaimed discography includes the complete piano works of Rachmaninov, Prokofiev, and Beethoven, alongside celebrated albums of Chopin, Schumann, and Granados. His recent Mozart album series (2024–2025) was accompanied by nationwide recital tours across Korea.
