Parents and caregivers of children with diverse needs (ages 1–12), this is for you!

Join Playeum and renowned inclusive educator and researcher Dr Esther Joosa (PhD) for a 2-part online workshop that explores the value of the Open Minds, Open Doors play programme, and the role of play and everyday materials in supporting your child's holistic development and engagement in the community.


In this online workshop, you will discover:


  • The value of play in inclusion: How to understand your child’s play and its relationship to autonomy and executive functions
  • How to enhance development and 21st-century skills through play: Hands-on ideas and methods to foster holistic growth
  • How to bring play home with everyday materials: Personalised strategies and tailored guidance on using common everyday items


Dates: 22 & 23 October 2025 (Wed & Thu)

About Dr Esther Joosa (PhD)

Dr. Esther Joosa (PhD) is the founder and director of Arts of the Earth Learning Hub, an inclusive play and art education consultancy. Originally from the Netherlands, she has made Singapore her home. For more than three decades, her work, research, and collaborations have focused on opening doors through play, creativity, and the visual arts.


One of her notable contributions to early childhood and special education includes a year-long research collaboration with Playeum on the value of open-ended play for children with varying disabilities. Her work continues to explore the role of play in inclusive community building, emphasising the importance of creating shared pathways with diverse stakeholders.
