Hi parents, I am a mom of a 2.5 year old toddler and I have been hosting play sessions, playgroups, swim clubs, talks, parties and other private events for a growing community of parents with young children aged 0-6 years old who meet regularly to play, socialise and have fun together.

I am so excited to share that Tiny Play Club is collaborating with Baby Planner SG, Singapore’s first one-stop maternity consultancy to host a workshop for us parents to be educated about the different caregiving options available for our children and learn how to navigate these options in making the best child care arrangements for our families.

The workshop will be hosted by Yi Ling, a maternity consultant and the founder of Baby Planner SG (pictured above with her children).

This inclusive workshop is open to TPC families (see below on how to join us) no matter your current experience or knowledge. Everyone is welcome to join and the workshop will be helpful for you if you are:

going back to work and need to make longer-term care arrangements for your child
looking to change your child's current caregiving situation
thinking of sending your child to school
looking for a new infant or child care centre, playgroup or kindergarten
hiring a helper or nanny
wondering what care arrangement will help your children thrive as they reach new milestones
curious about exploring different baby and child care options

Parents attending without children and expectant mums are also welcome to join.

Stay at home parenting / homeschooling
Relatives
Stay-out nannies
Stay-in domestic helpers
Kindergartens / playgroups (2-6 hours)
Infant (IFC) / child care centres (CC) (12 hours)

Advantages and disadvantages of various care arrangements
What is required for a child to thrive for each care arrangements
Facts and myths about various care arrangements

and parents will learn practical tips such as these and more:

How to manage and/or avoid common problems with each type of caregiving arrangement
How to communicate effectively with your child’s care providers
How to set expectations, boundaries and build a healthy relationship with your child’s other caregivers
How to align supporting caregiving routines/methods with your family's values and preferences
How to identify if the classrooms and teaching environment in your child’s school is set up conducively for care and learning

Cost: $30 per family, which includes both the cost of the workshop and the token contribution charge to cover the cost of materials and the time taken to set up, clean up and disinfect play surfaces after the session.

How to make payment?

Is there a minimum age to join?

No.

My child will not be available to attend with me, can I still join?

Yes, parents attending without children and expectant mums are welcome to attend the workshop at $30 per family.

Adult-accompanied event

This is a adult-accompanied community event for both children and caregivers to socialise - strictly no drop-offs!

Cancellation policy

Yi Ling earns a fixed amount per workshop that she hosts because she has spent time and effort to come all the way down to share her knowledge, expertise and experience to the community.

As this cost is split among families who have booked to attend, tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another family. Alternatively, families are welcome to attend a future Play & Learn about event without extra cost as a one-off make-up (subject to space capacity limits, please reach out to me privately to discuss).
