Overview

Turn classroom moments into sparks of curiousity! Discover playful ways to re-energise your classrooms.

Play ∞ Learning

Ever noticed your learners drifting into the land of Zzz… where curiosity quietens and eyes grow heavy?

What if we invited more wonder into the room?
What if a small shift in how we play could open new doors to attention, connection and joyful learning?

Come join us for an evening of playful games, real stories from the classroom, and simple ways to spark energy and imagination — for you and your learners. (young learners beyond preschool for sure!)

Let’s rediscover how play can transform even the sleepiest moments into opportunities for engagement, creativity and delight.

Carol, Simin and Charlotte are in the corporate, education and non-profit space, play makers in their own right. They have come together to do some PlayXperiments.

Carol Lim

Founder & Principal of The Human Futures Practice, host of #play14 Singapore and co-founder of Teach the Future Singapore, Carol Lim works with educators to design learning experiences that deepen student engagement, agency and creative confidence through purposeful play. Drawing on her background in education programme design, futures literacy and game-based learning — as well as her lived experience as a parent of four school-going boys, Carol partners teachers and coaches to reimagine lessons, routines and classroom interactions in ways that support attention, motivation and joyful learning.

Ang Simin

Simin is an educator who has tinkered with different iterations of play in the classroom for around 12 years of teaching. She spends a lot of time playing TTRPGs like D&D and possibly owns too many boardgames. She is always eager to learn new ideas through conversations and experiences!

Charlotte Goh

Charlotte is the Executive Director of Playeum, a IPC charity that uses Play and the Arts to build life skills in children. Trained as a social worker, a marketing explorer, she has invested her last 12 years back in the non-profit scene and through Playeum, uses play to engage, connect, build bonds and skills. She believes that relationships are the center of social change and play brings people together. She also believes that play is beyond an activity, and also an attitude; a way of BEing. She is still a learner in this space and seeking to learn from all that cross paths.
