Playing with Story

In this action-packed, fun workshop, you will learn six lively audience-participation folktales and leave with them ready-to-tell. So plan a story time so you can put your new tales to use!

You will also receive hints on telling and finding tellable folktales. Texts of the stories will be given. Great for those who work with young children, parents, or anyone who wants to add a few stories to their repertoire.

About Dr. Margaret Read MacDonald

Folklorist and storyteller Dr. Margaret Read MacDonald travels the world telling stories and teaching others to tell. She has been described as "a grand dame of storytelling" by the US School Library Journal and is the author of over 66 books on folklore and storytelling topics, including Peace Tales: World Folktales to Talk About and Teaching with Story: Classroom Connections to Storytelling (with Jen and Nat Whitman). Her books are available via Amazon and Book Depository.
