Post-GE 2025 Singapore: A Watershed Moment or Watertight Dominance?

Building on the momentum of our earlier pre-General Election (GE) discussion, the LSE Alumni Association of Singapore invites you to a special post-GE edition of our political conversation series, featuring two distinguished LSE alumni.

We are honoured to welcome Associate Professor Jamus Lim, Member of Parliament from the Workers’ Party, in conversation with Dr Mustafa Izzuddin, political analyst and Senior International Affairs Analyst at Solaris Strategies Singapore.

Moderated by Dr Izzuddin, this session will explore the outcomes of Singapore’s 2025 General Election and their broader implications for the country’s political landscape.  The discussion will delve into key topics such as:

  • The evolving role of the opposition and political plurality in Singapore
  • Shifts in voter sentiment and what they signal about future trends
  • Policy directions in a post-GE Singapore
  • Regional and global considerations shaping domestic governance

This event offers a unique opportunity for LSE alumni and members of the public to engage with two thought leaders whose insights bridge academia, policy, and practice.
