About this event

  • 21 days 1 hour

"All enlightened beings have discovered that by abandoning self-cherishing and cherishing only others they came to experience true peace and happiness. If we practise the methods they taught, there is no reason why we should not be able to do the same." - Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

During this series of classes our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Rabka will give commentary and guidance on the profound loving-kindness practice known as "equalising and exchanging self with others". Each week we will explore progressively more profound topics which help us to recognise, reduce and abandon the principal cause of all of our day-to-day problems and sufferings, the deluded mind of "self-cherishing", and we will learn how to instead cultivate the virtuous mind of cherishing others, a source of deep happiness and inner peace.

By gradually training in these methods all of our usual difficulties that arise from anger, attachment, jealousy and all other delusions will naturally be overcome, and we will have access to a reservoir of deep peace and contentment within our own mind.

Everybody is welcome to attend these classes regardless of experience.

About the Teacher

Gen Kelsang Rabka is an Australian Buddhist monk who was appointed as the Resident Teacher of KMC Singapore in mid-2020. He has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and his senior disciples for over 15 years, and has taught in Asia, Australia and the UK.

The clarity and warmth in his teachings have helped many students experience the practical benefits of modern Kadampa Buddhism in their daily lives.
