PSLE ENGLISH ORAL SBC WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS

Program Objectives

This is a highly hands-on, small group workshop (maximum of 10 students) designed to help children approach the Stimulus-Based Conversation (SBC) as a communication skill.

The aim is to empower them to speak with confidence and fluency, while building techniques that feel natural and authentic.Through a ground-up approach developed from extensive coaching experience, the workshop tackles the very challenges students often face.

By breaking down each question, students gain awareness of the logic and structure behind strong responses. Step-by-step guides provide a systematic method to use details from the stimulus and translate static pictures into words.Most importantly, the workshop encourages students to draw on their own experiences. By making their answers personal, familiar, and comfortable, we create the scaffolding they need to express their ideas clearly and confidently.

This workshop will be run by Discovering Potential's founder, Hwang Siew Ling, who has extensive experience training students in PSLE Oral skills. Siew Ling is an Interview and Communication Coach, and she is the author of the PSLE Oral SBC Guidebook (2nd edition will be available in November 2025). • 4 hours program (agenda is provided)
• Available date for public registration:
• 9 June 2026, Tuesday, 9 am to 1 pm
• Venue: In Person at 190 Clemenceau Avenue, Singapore Shopping Center (close to Dhoby Ghaut MRT)

Program Materials

• Reference slides will be provided
• Every participant will receive a copy of the PSLE Oral SBC Guidebook (2nd edition) (to be released in Nov 2025), which retails for $39.90 each.

Fees

$320 per participant (workshop fees are not refundable but may be transferred to another participant). Only the registered participant may attend, parents and guardians are not permitted in the workshop.
