4, 5 and 6 August 2020 - 10 am to 12 pm
o Please note that this micro-module consists of 3 sessions of 2 hours each and is limited to no more than 30 participants. Completion of all the sessions will entitle you to 30 minutes of one-to-one peer coaching.
o All video or audio recordings that you are given access to, or any recording you do for this micro-module that includes someone other than yourself, must not be circulated beyond this micro-module.
o If you are unable to join the micro-module after you have registered, please cancel your registration at least 24 hours in advance.
o If you fail to attend a micro-module that you have a confirmed registration for, priority will be given to others for future micro-modules that you register for.

This course adopts a hands-on approach to helping students learn active listening in online communication situations. Students will learn how to apply verbal and non-verbal signs of active listening to achieve effective online interactions. This course will introduce students to the principles of active listening and provide opportunities for them to practise the active listening strategies in simulated online communication contexts.
Overall aim: To enable students to activate active listening skills to engage effectively in online communication contexts.
Specific aims: By the end of this module, students will have learnt how to:
1. Apply verbal cues to display active listening in online interactions;
2. Apply non-verbal cues to demonstrate active listening through an online platform.
