About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

In celebration of Pink Fest 2025

Join us for a time where you can slow down and reconnect with nature, your senses, and yourself. This queer-affirming experience is guided by an LGBTQ+ couple certified in Forest Therapy and Mindfulness Meditation. Together, we will move through some sensory-based invitations, grounding meditations, and heartfelt sharing circles. The gathering ends with tea and light snacks under the trees. Whether you are looking to rest, reflect, or simply be, this small-group gathering (capped at 10 participants) offers a nourishing way to celebrate queer joy in community and nature.

You will be invited to participate as much or as little as you are comfortable with. Come alone, with a friend or family, and know that all is welcome!

Meet Your Guides

Melanie Lam

Melanie is the Founder of Healing Skies, a holistic private practice based in Singapore. She is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and is passionate about the importance of healing, wellness, and supporting others in leading a purposeful life. Melanie had a lot of gripes about nature, such as the heat, bugs and dirt but she has learnt to embrace it all (mostly... sometimes). She is into spirituality and the "woo woo" and is also a Past Life Regression therapist and teaches Reiki energy healing.

Amelia Lim

Amelia is your friendly next-door neighbour who loves nature, animals and most human beings. She is always curious about the world and enjoy seeking out new ways to live, love and be a little kinder with herself, and also with other beings and the world we live in. She is a social worker in a healthcare setting during the day, and this motivates her to explore different ways of self-care to better cope with stresses and life adversities. She is a certified forest therapy guide and Reiki master teacher who indulges in yoga and mindfulness practices when she is not distracted by Netflix or her two cats.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the meeting point?

Outside the Garden shop at Tanglin Gate / Visitor Services @ Botany Center. The nearest entrance is closer to the Tanglin Gate near Gleneagles Medical Centre. Do buffer 10-15 min if you are walking from Napier MRT station (nearest), and 25-30min from Botanic Gardens MRT station.

May i join late/halfway or leave earlier?

Preferably not, as the experience would be best enjoyed from start to end. Do note once we depart from the meeting point, we may not be able to check our phone to respond as the session has begun.

May I bring my kids or furkids?

This session is intended for grown up working human beings. However, do drop me a message if you are interested in future possible sessions for kids/teens or furkids. (We may plan one in the near future!)

Any wet weather plan?

We welcome rain as part of our walk and will attempt to continue with the activities should there by only light rain/drizzle with no lightning. Rest assured the wet weather plan will put the safety of all participants first. Bring your brolly or poncho/raincoat in case!

How do I reach out for further questions or if I am unable to make it last minute?
