A Documentary Portrait of Dieter Rams

Hosted by the SHIFT Design Events team, it will be an evening of design centric indulgence to remember. Come and join us as we collectively explore Dieter Rams influence on the world, listen to thought provoking discussion and enjoy good company.

Rams is a documentary with unprecedented access to Dieter, capturing his life and work. Featuring in-depth interviews with Dieter, Rams explores Dieter’s philosophy, process and inspiration. In exploring Dieter’s philosophical notions, Rams gives a unique insight into his views on consumerism, sustainability and materialism, manifesting in his regrets and wishes for the future.

Following the screening is a panel discussion with two phenomenal industry leaders:

Dr Yen Ching Chiuan, Industrial Design Director, NUS
Prof Yen Ching Chiuan is Co-Director of Keio NUS Cute Center, immediate past Head of the Division of Industrial Design (DID) at the National University of Singapore. Having authored more than 60 international and national refereed articles, he possesses an excellent ability to combine theoretical thinking and design practice in design education.

Donn Koh, Co-Founder, STUCK Design
