He recalls performing sacrificial rites that ironically aided Rama's victory, crafting a veena from his own body to win Lord Shiva’s favor, falling in love with Mandodari, and finally achieving his long-desired confrontation with Rama, sparked by his sister Shurpanaka’s humiliation.
