Frequently asked questions
Yes you can! Raw Epics will provide a rental bike and helmet at SGD$40 for the duration of the session. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time to get properly fitted to your bike & helmet.
This ride series is suited for new & beginner adult riders aged 18 years old and above. You may enquire about the kids- and youth-specific training that Raw Epics runs and whether you may be suitable for that instead.
Yes! This ride series is created for people just like you. Professionally-led, beginner-focused group rides provide a supportive, welcoming environment, without the stress and expectations (both self-imposed and imposed by others) associated with 'trying to keep up' with faster & fitter riders.
Not serious at all! Our ride series is a community-building opportunity and safe space. We are all about keeping the pace of learning, riding, and chit-chat comfortable and attainable for all attendees - whilst maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and safety/risk management.
The distances on trail will be minimal, typically not exceeding 5km. The trails will be rated mostly green (suited for up to novice riders) with occasional blue-rated features (suited for up to intermediate riders). All trail features are regarded on a no-pressure, 'challenge by choice' basis.
Sturdy, covered shoes (no slippers, sandals, or open-toe footwear allowed) are mandatory. Comfortable sports attire that is suitable for Singapore's tropical climate is strongly advised. Cycling helmets are also mandatory - if you do not have one, please enquire about renting one.
Locate the ride host/guide (Wilson Low) - attired in Raw Epics uniform. A waiver/medical declaration/emergency contact form will be required to be filled up prior to commencement of activity. An equipment and rider check - as well as a safety briefing - is conducted once all attendees are present.
Yes you can! They should be riding at a similar level as you (first-timer to novice level). If they are much more experienced/skilled/fitter than yourself, we may have a separate chat to them about managing their expectations for the ride, so that they do not feel left out or under-stimulated.
Yes, you may! There is no obligation to sign up for (paid) dedicated training or lessons that Raw Epics offers - although you will certainly progress your riding more that way.
