About this event

About the Workshop:
Reflective Art Experience is a fully guided art workshop designed to expand your creativity, reconnect with your inner child artist, and use visual art as a tool for self-connection, emotional regulation and coping with life's challenges. Open to all, whether you're an experienced artist or just starting out!

Duration:

2hr fully guided workshop

Requirements:

No artistic skills or talents are required. There's no fixed outcome—simply be present in your creative process.

Suitable for ages 13 and above. From young to the elderly, everyone is invited to create!

Your Instructor:
Our founder, Talya, an artist with a background in Psychology, will lead the workshop, blending artistry with the therapeutic benefits of creative expression.

What to Expect:

1.Introduction:

Facilitated introductions and insights into the benefits of art-making and the relationship between human nature and creativity.

2.Guided Creation:

Acknowledge your feelings through a grounding exercise and receive guidance on expressing them on canvas.

A multi-sensory exploration through materials, texture, and color, uncovering the garden of your heart and cutting away and refining the artwork.

3.Sharing:

Share your experience if you feel comfortable.

Leave with a renewed perspective on creativity, a healthy coping skill, and your very own masterpiece.

All Materials Provided:

  • Abundant acrylic paint in vibrant colors.
  • Brushes, sticks, palette knives, foil, sponges, and unconventional materials for artistic expression.
  • Various materials for experimentation (sequins, glitter, strings, etc.).
  • Choose to paint on a canvas, tote bag, or art journal.
  • Aprons to protect your clothing.

A Multisensory Approach:
Our visual art-making goes beyond traditional means. We provide a diverse range of materials such as combs, toothbrushes, sticks, sponges, and foil to apply your chosen medium. These sensations from the canvas are felt in our bodies, fostering mindfulness in the present moment. This heightened awareness allows us to process and regulate emotions, gain clarity in experiences, and find balance in life.

Important Information:
While our experiences are therapeutic, we don't claim this workshop to be a substitute for professional therapy.
