Founded in 2006, Aidha is an award-winning charity with Institution of Public Character (IPC) status. Aidha offers financial education and self-development programmes such as money management, computer literacy, leadership and entrepreneurial skills for foreign domestic workers and lower-income women. We envision ‘sustainable futures through financial education’ so that every woman has the opportunity to determine her own future.

<DIV><SPAN><SPAN>Join Aidha, AWARE, HOME and Singapore Committee of UN Women as we celebrate International Domestic Workers Day on Sunday, 3<SPAN>pm, </SPAN>18th June 2017 and Wednesday,7pm<SPAN>, </SPAN>5th July 2017! This film screening of Remittance is a realistic portrayal of the lives of low-wage migrant workers in Singapore shot with a cast including domestic workers and Aidha alumni. Remittance follows Marie, a woman from the Philippines, as she struggles with her daily life as a foreign domestic worker and tries to balance living for her family versus living for herself. The story explores the transformations Marie goes through as a woman dealing with conflicting obligations and aspirations. </SPAN></SPAN></DIV>
