Urban Sustainability Founders Walk & Talk
Wednesdays | 6:30–8:30 PM | Singapore River
Your mid-week movement + conversation reset.
This is not “just a walk.”
This is the low-barrier entry into the BCIURS community — a cross-disciplinary network reimagining how we build, live and create future townships.
🔷 What is River Re-Cycle?
Part of:
BCIURS 2026 – Walk. Talk. Build. Create.
A recurring outdoor meet-up for:
- Architects & engineers
- Urban planners & developers
- Modular & retrofit professionals
- ESG & sustainability founders
- Artists, musicians & placemakers
- Citizens who care about how cities evolve
If you live under a roof, you qualify.
🔷 Format (90–120 min, flexible)
• 20–30 min light riverside movement
• 40 min discussion stop
• 30–60 min optional coffee / beer
Default sporty loop:
Jiak Kim Bridge → Sultan Mosque side → Boat Quay → Back
Route may adapt depending on group energy.
Speed follows the slowest.
Join anytime.
Live location shared in WhatsApp.
🔷 Monthly Theme Rotation
Each month carries a soft focus:
- Modular & Prefab Futures
- Maintenance & Energy Retrofit (SG Reality)
- Biomaterials & Deep Tech
- Circular Townships (Rubanisation)
- Youth & Future Builders
- Creative Placemaking (music, culture & space)
No slides.
No panels.
No aggressive business pitching.
Just intelligent movement + constructive dialogue.
🔷 Why This Exists
Singapore has many conferences.
Few have:
- honest cross-disciplinary conversation
- zero-toxicity dialogue
- practical sustainability thinking
- intergenerational inclusion
We are building:
A trust network before a transaction network.
🔷 What We Explore
• Environment, climate & practical resilience
• Housing in SG & Southeast Asia
• Retrofit vs rebuild decisions
• How citizens influence sustainability decisions
• Healthy lifestyle + meaningful work balance
• How not to doom-scroll into apocalypse
🔷 Bring With You
• Sporty/light attire
• Umbrella (this is Singapore)
• Water bottle
• Curiosity
• Your smile
Children welcome.
Strollers manageable.
Community > formality.
🔷 Who Hosts
