About the Event

This workshop will be held at MakeIT at Punggol (Level 4 within Punggol Regional Library).

About the Programme

Develop your coding skills in this hands-on workshop by using the Qdee robots available at our MakeIT at libraries Makerspaces. The Qdee is a wheeled educational robot that works with Microbit*, providing a great entry point for those interested in coding and robotics, but are not sure where to begin.

The Microbit is a pocket-sized computer that has been introduced in many schools world-wide to encourage students to come up with innovative solutions with coding.

In this beginner-friendly introduction to coding and robotics, participants learn to:

  • Program a robot to drive in different directions using your own written programs.
  • Code using make:code, a block-based programming language for the Microbit that makes coding more accessible to users.
  • Use robotic sensors to sense the environment and make decisions based on what is sensed.

No programming knowledge is needed to participate.

Programme is suitable for beginners.

The age requirement for participants is 15+
