Role of the Researcher | Positionality

As researchers, we are intimately associated with the research we conduct. But sometimes we are closer to our research than we might recognise or acknowledge. This positionality refers to the stance or positioning of the researcher in relation to the social and political context of the study—the community, the organization or the participant group—or even our own historical influences and motivations. This webinar will examine researcher positionality, how to recognize it, and how to acknowledge it within our written research output(s).
