About the subject: Managerial Economics explores the fundamental principles of different pricing strategies to achieve the objectives of a firm. What price should be used to maximize profit? Will that price maximize market share? What role do costs play when choosing a pricing strategy? How does a firm react to a competitor’s price cut? This class will help students navigate through these and other related questions.
Prof. Frank McIntyre is a 2003 Stanford PhD and his most recent research is in microeconometric law and economics. Has has conducted research and written papers on crime, bankruptcy, and lawyer behavior and incentives. Prof McIntyre currently teaches Macroeconomics and Microeconomics to MBA and Executive MBA classes.
