About the Speakers:

Peng T. Ong, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Monk’s Hill Ventures

Peng is a veteran entrepreneur with over 25 years of industry experience as both an entrepreneur and an investor in Silicon Valley and in Asia. He is currently the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Monk’s Hill Ventures – an early-stage tech Southeast Asian venture capital firm. Prior to Monk’s Hill Ventures, he was a Venture Partner at GSR Ventures in China. The firm is known for its successful investments in companies like Didi Chuxing and Qunar. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded a series of successful companies today including Electric Classifieds (today known as Match.com), Interwoven and Eccentuate, which combined today generate over USD$1 billion in revenues annually.

Angky William, Co-Founder & CTO of STOQO

Angky William is the CTO & Co-Founder of STOQO, a B2B marketplace for small food & beverage outlets to source fresh, reliable, and competitively-priced ingredients. Passionate about automation and streamlining supply chains, William has been building multi-platform technologies for Stoqo to serve tens-of-thousand customers in Indonesia. He previously worked as Software Developer at Amazon’s advertising & marketplace sector and also interned at Microsoft. He has a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Recently, Angky was featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list.

Antoni R. Lewa, former Product Manager of Grab & Ninja Van

Antoni R. Lewa is the former product manager of Southeast Asian startup giants, Grab, a ride-hailing app turned Super-App for daily needs & Ninja Van, the only pan-region last-mile logistics in Southeast Asia. Antoni is now an MBA Candidate at Berkeley Haas and is also a VC Fellow at Berkeley Skydeck. He has a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Singapore Management University.

Christina Hsiang, Founder & CEO of Startups Greater Asia (moderator)

Christina is the Founder & CEO of Startups Greater Asia, which provides strategic advisory services, cross-border business intelligence and helps implement market expansion initiatives between Greater Asia and North America. Chris is also a Mandarin- and Russian-speaking Corporate Attorney at Carr & Ferrell LLP, a boutique, full-service law firm located in Silicon Valley providing strategic and responsive corporate, venture capital, patent, and intellectual property law services. Chris advises corporations, entrepreneurs, and investors on emerging tech business and legal issues. She has been a speaker on/writes about startup growth, cross-border venture investments, and the future of connected mobility.
