About this event
About the Event
Food, as a basic necessity for survival, affects all aspects of human life and culture. Likewise, the food people eat is shaped by geographies and local preferences. This has resulted in differences in foods across China - between the North and South and between the East and West. Through the study of regional cuisines across China, this session allows participants to better appreciate China as a complex “them” rather than a homogenous “it”.
