Whether it is Singapore's first branch library at Queentown Public Library or the first polyclinic at Queentown Polyclinic, former PM Lee Kuan Yew has left a huge impression in Singapore's first satellite estate. Let us trace his vision of Singapore in an intimate journey through the lanes and alleys of Queenstown.
Landmarks include:
(1) Queenstown Polyclinic,
(2) Queenstown Public Library,
(3) Queenstown Sports Complex - Where Mr Lee Kuan Yew was the Guest-of-Honour for a number of NDPs
(4) Alexandra Canal Park - Where Mr Lee Kuan Yew planted numerous trees
(5) Commonwealth Estate - Where HDB's Home Ownership for the People was launched
(6) Former Queenstown Remand Prison - Where JBJ and Chee Soon Juan were remanded
(7) Former KTM Tracks at Tanglin Halt - Where he brought his children to see trains
(8) Former Baharuddin Vocational Institute - Where he opened Singapore's first institute for arts and design.

Duration
Approximate duration: 3 hours (9am to 12pm)
Please arrive at Queenstown MRT Station 15 minutes before 9am. The trail guides will be wearing yellow T-shirts with our distinctive CROWN logo.
The trail will end at Commonwealth MRT Station
What to bring?
Wear comfortable clothes (preferably long pants) and shoes.
Bring along insect repellent, EZ-Link card, a bottle of water and an umbrella
Asthmatic patients are encouraged to bring their inhaler
