Programme Synopsis:

People with special needs and the people living or working with them require unique skills and habits to look after their wellbeing: considering what they eat, how they communicate and how they regulate emotions of the people with special needs.

Join us as SibsUnite members (siblings of persons with special needs) - a Functional Nutritionist, a Senior Speech Therapist and a Senior Behavioural Therapist - lend their expertise to conduct a series of three talks, promoting nutrition, communication and emotional regulation amongst people with special needs and their caregivers and/or family.

  • Talk 1: Nutrition ("The Missing Link Between Your Stress, Weight and Food") - 20 April 2024
  • Talk 2: Communication ("Improving Communication with People with Special Needs) - 18 May 2024

Please note the following:

  • All participants are required to register for a ticket. Each ticket admits 1 person only. Please present your ticket when you enter the library and the event venue.
  • Arrive 10 mins before the session commences.
  • As there is limited capacity at this event, if you are unable to attend the event due to a change of plans, please cancel your registration to allow others on the waitlist to join us instead. 
  • NLB reserves the right to deny entry to participants who do not abide by the ground rules.
