Description

(*Seniors enjoy a National Silver Academy subsidy)

The foundaton of art lies in drawing techniques. By learning this basic skill in pencil sketching, you will develop confidence and have success in your painting in Watercolour and drawing with Colour pencils etc.

This course is to help students discover that most objects can be created from basic shapes - a sphere, cube, cylinder or cone. Have you ever thought you could draw a tissue box or book by first sketching a lengthened or flattened cube? Or saw an arm or tree limb as a cylinder?

Pencil-sketching can become a quick way for any art student to experiment with ideas, wherever they are. Van Gogh himself drew thousands of drawings to perfect his skill; and Picasso's genius was brought about first from his drawings - often with just a single, well thought-out line in pencil.

Come learn this foundational skill and embark on your art journey!
