What is SinglePore?

SinglePore is an in-person  dating event with a technological twist. Think of it as a social gathering, but everyone is single, and you’re helped by an AI-backed questionnaire to discover your best match.

I am older/younger than 25-38 - can I still come?

This event is designed for singles who are 25-38 years old.  If you are older or younger, you will be denied entry. Refunds will not be provided.

How does the matchmaking algorithm work?

We use a matchmaking algorithm to identify other people you share values with. Think of it as technological magic with a focus on real-world chemistry! It will only take you 3 minutes to complete, using your phone web browser (no app download required).

What’s the gender ratio?

For the matching magic to work, we strive for an equal 50:50 split of heterosexual men and women. Sometimes, someone drops out last minute making the numbers uneven. See "disclaimer 1" to learn what happens then.

Is SinglePore inclusive?

Anyone is welcome to attend. We don’t ask guests to disclose their race, sexual orientation, nationality, physical abilities, height, weight...or anything like that. However, please note that this event has been designed for heterosexual individuals.

What should I wear?

Dress as your best self. We recommend wearing something comfortable (we will move from inside to outside) but remember that this is also a dating event. Dress to impress! Please also note that any clothing deemed inappropriate by the organizers may be denied entry.

Can I bring a friend?

Most attendees come solo, which often empowers them to socialize with unfamiliar faces. That said, feel free to share the event details with your friends in case they also want to buy tickets (just be warned: the algorithm might think that you make a great match!)

Do I need to bring anything?

Accepted Answer

You must bring two things: your best yourself and a working phone. You will use your phone to take the matchmaking questionnaire and get notified of who your matches are.

What is the refund policy?

You may request a refund up to 7 days before the event start date. Please submit the request here on Eventbrite. After that time, your ticket is non-refundable.

Can I transfer my ticket?

No, tickets are non-transferrable as event participation is tied directly to the name of the ticket holder.

I cannot make this event. Are there other events scheduled?

Are the venues wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the venues are wheelchair accessible but please check in with the organisers a couple of days before the event to make sure that there haven't been any last minute changes. You can send a message here through eventbrite.

I don't drink alcohol

No problem! Every venue offers multiple drink options, including non-alcoholic drinks. The ticket price is the same no matter what drink you order.

I am shy/introverted - can I still attend?

No problem! SinglePore attract all types of people. To make the most of the event, you will need to make an effort to speak to strangers but you can always take a break whenever you need. If you need any help, just approach a friendly member of staff.

We work hard to ensure there is a 50:50 split of men vs women. Sometimes, due to circumstances outside of our control, there is an uneven gender ratio and you may receive a platonic match or go unmatched. The chances of that happening for all 3 matches is very, very low but possible.

It is important that SinglePore is a safe and inclusive space. Any behavior, clothing, actions, or language deemed inappropriate by the organisers will result in removal from the event.  Refunds will not be provided.
