About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Sleep can be a daily challenge for people with ADHD. Falling asleep, staying asleep, and waking up feeling rested often don’t come easily—and the effects ripple into the next day. Whether you're a parent, educator, or someone with ADHD yourself, this event is for you.

More than half of children and many adults with ADHD experience ongoing sleep difficulties. Key characteristics of ADHD like restlessness, racing thoughts, and difficulty winding down can make sleep harder. At the same time, poor sleep can intensify the challenges of inattention, impulsivity, and emotional regulation.

This workshop will explore why sleep difficulties and ADHD are so closely linked, what’s unique about ADHD sleep, and most importantly, what can help. You’ll learn about the behavioural, neurological, and emotional factors involved, and walk away with practical, evidence-based strategies for improving sleep—at home, in school, and beyond.

This workshop is for you if you:

  • Live with ADHD or support someone who does
  • Want to understand what is unique about sleep for people with ADHD
  • Work with children or families affected by ADHD
  • Want to feel more confident, informed, and supported

By the end of this workshop you'll:

  • Understand why sleep is so uniquely challenging for people with ADHD
  • Have a range of strategies you can put into practice straight away
  • Feel more confident recognising signs of sleep problems

Join me for insightful discussions, practical tips, and strategies to help navigate the chaos that can come with ADHD and sleep issues.

My workshops are focused on providing the most up-to-date information on sleep science in a way that's engaging and interesting. I love talking about the psychology of sleep and include a mixture of research evidence and stories from the many clients I've worked with.

Workshop spaces are limited so that we can share stories and problem solve together, finding ways to apply the science to your own situation. When you attend one of my workshops you'll come away with practical, actionable steps to improve your own sleep, or the sleep of your family or clients.
