SOTA Open House 2019

The School of the Arts (SOTA) is Singapore’s first national pre-tertiary specialised arts school with a six-year integrated arts and academic curriculum, leading to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or Career-related Programme, for youths aged 13-18 years old.  Under the ambit of the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), SOTA offers a dedicated development path for those who have interest and show early talent in the arts, providing a learning environment where both the artistic and academic potential can best be realised.  With a vision to nurture creative citizens for the future, SOTA aims to identify and groom artistic and creative learners who positively impact Singapore and the world, through a vibrant learning environment that is anchored in the arts.

Tickets are not required to attend the Open House. However, you may register here for updates on the programme.

School Leaders' Talks – Our school leaders will share about SOTA’s six-year integrated arts and academic curriculum leading to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. Parents will also learn more about the admission requirements and application procedures for the Talent Academy.

Campus Tours – Wish to tour our award-winning campus? Let our friendly student ambassadors share their experiences and guide you on this rare opportunity to explore our vibrant campus! (Note: Participants are required to walk and climb stairs)

School Exhibition – Chat with our amiable teachers and students at the School Exhibition in the Multi-Purpose Hall on Level 6 to understand what your child will experience in his/her unique academic journey in SOTA.

Arts Showcases, Workshops, Arts Curriculum Sharing Sessions – Experience and find out more about the arts curriculum and training your child will be exposed to in SOTA. (Note: Selected activities and showcases may require tickets. Tickets to these activities will be released at the ticket collection booth on the day of the event, on a first-come, first-served basis.)

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Find out how to get to SOTA <A HREF="https://www.sota.edu.sg/contact-us" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">HERE</A>. As parking is limited at SOTA, you are strongly encouraged to use public transport or find alternative parking spaces (e.g. The Cathay, POMO).
 
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Tickets are not required for admission to SOTA for the Open House. Registration here on Eventbrite enables you to receive updates on the Open House programme and information on SOTA. 
 
Are the activities at the SOTA Open House free?
All activities at the SOTA Open House are free. Due to space contraints, selected activities and showcases may require tickets. Tickets to these activities will be released at the ticket collection booth on the day of the event, on a first-come, first-served basis. 
 
Who can attend the SOTA Open House?
We welcome students who have a passion for the arts and are interested to pursue a holistic pre-tertiary education in a vibrant arts-anchored learning environment to come find out more about SOTA. 
SOTA is Singapore’s first national pre-tertiary specialised arts school with a six-year integrated arts and academic curriculum, leading to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or Career-related Programme, for youths aged 13-18 years old. Students typically apply to SOTA when they are in Primary 6 (or equivalent). Information offered at the SOTA Open House 2019 will be most relevant for students who are currently in Primary 6 (or equivalent) intending to apply to SOTA this year, for admission in 2020.
