About this Event
RV FoRestore is having a series of Seedling Protection Activity (SPA) sessions at Chestnut Nature Park (CNP) !!
We will be checking up on the trees that were previously planted together with Friends of Chestnut Nature Park at several reforestation sites within CNP. As part of our reforestation efforts, it is important for us to conduct regular SPA sessions to get rid of the weeds & climbers at the plots so our trees can grow better :)
Come on down for the following SPA sessions!! :

- TIME: 9am-11am
- VENUE: CNP Plot & Bangkit Plot
Preparation:
- Long pants
- A cap/hat
- Covered shoes
- Water
- Insect repellent (optional)
Transport
There will be free 2-way transport available. If you wish to take the transport provided, do meet us at the RVRC Block G drop-off point at 8:20am! The event will end around 11 am at both plots in CNP & Bangkit and transport will be provided back to RVRC.
If you wish to meet us directly at the site, do note the following:
Directions for the CNP Plot:
Find us at 9am at the shelter next to the CNP carpark. If you come by public transport, do note that there is a 15 minutes walk upslope to reach CNP.
How to get there:
- Nearest bus stops are along Petir Road (Stop ID: 44389 ; 44351) with buses 700, 700A, 955 and 973.
- From Hillview Stn, take 973 (~7 min bus ride)
Directions for the Bangkit Plot:
Find us at 9am at the void deck of Block 276, Bangkit Road. If you come by LRT, do note that there is a roughly 10 minutes walk over to Block 276.
How to get there:

- Buses: 171, 187, 190, 190A, 960, 963, 963R, 963e, 966, 972, 972A
In case of wet weather, the event may be cancelled - we will contact you on the morning itself around 8am through Telegram. Photographs taken during the event may also be used for RV FoRestore outreach and publicity.
