SpeakEasy Youth: Persuasive & Confident Communication (Ages 13–17)

Hear my story. Understand my point.

In this 8-week programme, teenagers deepen their speaking and thinking skills, learning how to communicate with both logic and emotion. Whether preparing for interviews, debates, or school presentations, they will learn to engage their audience, advocate for their beliefs, and present themselves with calm confidence.

Held in a small-group format, each session blends real-world application with structured techniques to help participants speak with clarity, purpose, and presence.

Meet the Trainers

Gerald Wong

Co-Founder, SpeakEasy Lab

Gerald is an accomplished communication specialist, media professional, and nonprofit leader with over a decade of experience in the communications industry. He co-founded SpeakEasy Lab to help individuals “find their voice and voice their thoughts” through accessible, high-quality training.

Gerald began his career in 2014 as a radio producer and presenter on national radio, where he continues to host weekend shows. He has hosted events for C-suite leaders and political officeholders, moderated panels for the United Nations Environment Programme, and trained individuals across all walks of life to communicate with confidence and purpose.

Shirin Keshvani

Trainer, SpeakEasy Lab

Shirin is a seasoned performer, emcee, and improvisational theatre coach known for her engaging presence both on stage and in the classroom. Her theatre debut was in She’s A Great Way To Fly, directed by Tan Kheng Hua. Since then, she has hosted awards shows, festivals, and leadership conferences across industries.

As an improv coach, Shirin has helped business professionals and students sharpen their spontaneity, build confidence in public speaking, and unlock their creative voice. She brings warmth, energy, and deep expertise to every session she leads.
