Spin-a-snake: Make Your Own Zoetrope Animation
Our fascination with motion and illusion is as old as the story of human civilisation. Also known as the wheel of life, zoetropes produce animations through slits in rotating cylinders. But how does a zoetrope work and what kinds of still images move? Join us in this hands on workshop, learn to sketch for motion and bring some snakes to life instantly with our 3D printed zoetropes.
Ages 6 - 100+
(kids ages 6 - 12 will need to be accompanied by adults at all times. Accompanying parents do not need to purchase an extra ticket as long as you are building 1 kit)
Venue: Rainbow Room, ArtScience Museum Singapore
Class size: max 20 kids
Dates: Friday, September 15 (we are running the same workhsop on September 1, 15 Oct 6)
Time: 4.30pm - 5.30pm
Fee: $15 per participant
This workshop is designed to be beginner friendly. Most of the materials in the workshop are designed and created lovingly by us with the help of our friends at Fossil360. Any flaws in the material is a result of our labour of love.
