Sports Hub Netball Camp (Primary 4 - 6)

The Sports Hub Netball Camp will be conducted by Overathird Netball, headed by Kwok Shuyi, and supported by instructors with the likes of Micky Lin, former Singapore national netball captain and Nurul Baizura, Singapore national netball player.

Our camp aims to help budding netballers build strong foundation, acquire new skills and improve their game through fun drills. Campers can also look forward to acquiring valuable life skills such as teamwork and goal setting through a series of interactive activities and challenges. Girls will also have the opportunity to meet and interact with some current and former Singapore national players and coaches at our camps.

At Overathird, we believe that learning through a fun and engaging environment helps promote lifelong love for the sport, which is why our camps promise to pack loads of laughter.

GENERAL

What activities will there be in the Sports Hub Netball Camp?
Sports Hub Netball Camps are created to help budding netballers like you, develop a better understanding of the game and improve your court performance.

Take this opportunity to make new friends from other schools. Either way, you are going to have a fun and fulfilling school holiday!

Here’s a sample timetable of our 2-day camp so you have an idea what we will be doing!

What time should I reach?
Registration begins 20 minutes prior to the start of the session, so do get to OCBC Arena, Hall 3 early to ensure we can start on time.

Who is this suitable for?
Our programs are designed for all levels – beginner, intermediate and advanced. It will be specified in the program description. Check our full event listing for more information on available camp dates.

Is there any age restriction for the programs?
Our programs are designed for different levels and/or age group. The age group specified for the respective camp dates as below:-
For ages 10 - 12 years:
29 - 30 November and
17 - 18 December

For ages 13 - 17 years:
3 - 4 December

I’ve attended your previous programs, will this be the same?
Absolutely not. We refresh our programs to make sure that there is always something new for our participants to look forward to every session. The things you learn and the activities you do will be different.

Minimum numbers
Our programs have a minimum number of 14 campers per session they must reach in order to be run. This allows the participants to get the best experience at the program. If these numbers are not reached, we will notify you 2 weeks prior to the event and give you a full refund.

Maximum numbers
The maximum capacity is 24 campers.

CAMP

What do I wear and bring to the session?
Campers are required to wear our Sports Hub Netball Camp tee and your own training bottoms and sport shoes. All campers will receive their camp tee on the first day of the camp.

Please bring along your water bottle, towel, suitable snacks and change of clothes for the end of the camp. Refrain from bringing any valuables to the camp.

Are the camps run overnight?
We know our campers will miss their family and bed, so we’ve designed this as a non-residential camp. Campers are to report at 9am, and will be dismissed at 4pm every day.

I can’t make it for the full camp. Can I still be a part of the camp?
Yes, we can make arrangements for that. Drop us a note at netball@overathird.com and we will assist you with it.

Will meals be provided during the camp?
Yes, lunch and snacks will be provided for all days of the camp. If you have any dietary requirements (halal, vegetarian, no beef etc.), just let us know in the registration form and we will take care of it.

PARENTS' WORKSHOP

Is the Parents’ Workshop compulsory?
No, it is completely optional.

How much is the workshop fee?
The workshop is free for all parents who have signed their daughters up for the camp. The maximum capacity for the workshop is 10 pax.

What will be covered for the workshop?
Parents will get through a basic umpiring course on day 2 of the camp. It will cover netball rules, and parents will also have a chance to umpire a game!

Will meals be provided for the parents?
No, there will be no meals provided. There will be an hour lunch break.

What’s the refund policy?
Full refund will only be provided for cancellation up to 30 days before the start of the program. Participants who are unable to attend the session due to medical reasons, certified by a doctor, can join us at the next available session. Contact us at netball@overathird.com and we will help with the arrangement.
