About:
Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) are redefining how developers build applications — from dynamic chat interfaces to intelligent agents. With the release of Spring AI, Java developers can now seamlessly integrate these capabilities into familiar Spring Boot projects.
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll move beyond basic prompts and explore how to:
- Leverage the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Expose tools via annotations
- Structure and orchestrate agent workflows
- Connect agents to external data sources
— all using pure Java and Spring Boot.
🎙️ Speaker(s):
Jean - Vincent Gennade, (JV) is a Full-Stack Engineer at Zenika with over a decade of professional experience building robust, enterprise-grade applications. His expertise covers Java, Scala, Spring Boot, and Spark on the backend, complemented by frontend technologies like Angular and React. JV has architected and implemented distributed systems across a variety of industries, and brings deep hands-on experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation. Passionate about continuous learning and AI adoption in engineering workflows, he brings a pragmatic perspective to building intelligent agents with modern Java frameworks.
Jai Prakash is a seasoned Senior Backend Developer at Zenika, specializing in Java, Spring Boot, and React with TypeScript. His career spans domains such as payments, logistics, and banking, where he has delivered high-impact, scalable backend solutions. Jai is also a strong advocate of community learning — he actively contributes to the local developer ecosystem by speaking at meetups, hosting knowledge-sharing sessions, and mentoring fellow engineers. His recent focus has been on integrating modern AI tooling into Java-centric architectures.
